lemony beet juice

1/2 beet
1/4 lemon
1 orange
3/4 pear (or apple)
1 hunk ginger
1/2 stalk celery

today i made the cookies at eco. i was given pistachio "fluff" (the fiber left over after blending with water and then straining out the "milk") and allowed to do whatever, so i went with a less sweet cookie consisting of said fluff, dates, lemon juice, black pepper, olive oil, salt, raisins, coconut, and ground sesame seeds. i think they taste like a cross between a lemon cookie and halvah, but more biscuity and less desserty. hopefully they turn out okay. one person tried the batter and didnt like the lack of sweetness, but its always hard to tell what the dehydrated product will be like; also, the raisins were not processed in, but left whole, so some bites could be sweeter than others...???

joooooooooooooooose!

i have decided...drink more juice! i have a champion, for goodness sake! i think i just feel intimidated to clean it, but whenever it comes time its not even that bad! when i crave sweets late at night, i will have juice instead of a fruit salad or banana ice cream. hopefully this will help some of my digestion problems (farts!), too. right now im having a juice comprised of: 1 apple, chunk o carrot, four or five kale stems, knob of ginger. makes my tummy feel good and satisfies my desire for sweet nighttime snacking!

whats going onnnnnnnnnnnn whooooooooooooooooo

yeah, thats right. bloggggggggggggin'

um...well ever since i had a computer virus, i kind of gave up on reinstalling / finding a picture editing program, so i havent been updating. i do have tons of pix, though.
in the dehydrator right now: apple cookies, sprouted lentils / bell pepper spicy mix of goodness
i am currently rocking some trawpical grawnola at breakfasts. buckwheat with coconut butter, papaya, banana, and blood orange juice, dehydrated into crispy chunks. ate with macademia milk this morning, hoo!
what else is new. sunflower seeds are very cheap, but great for making cheese, creamy salad dressings, cookies and crackers, and they are very good for you, too. EFAs!
heres some pictures:

dehydrator with some goodies in it: crunchy chocolate drops, sesame wakame crackers, rosemary and garlic sprouted kamut bread

here was a very lovely dinner we ate: a zucchini pasta with fresh spinach, tomatoes, herbs, spinach, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, etc. with pine nut cheese crumbles and that kamut bread

flax pancakes with eggplant baccon and a fruit salad. amazing!

dr t's carob cake, my style. topped with currants and poppy seeds. this is the best cake in terms of cost to make, time, ease, simplicity, least ingredients, and it is so versatile and satisfying.

here was another attempt at the carob cake, but it was more of a lemon / spice cake and the result was very moist...the honey / coconut butter glaze with poppy seeds was good.

i turned that cake into cookies because it was too thick and moist to be cake.
